NOT A DESK

NOT A DESK is a modular, flexible workspace concept designed for people who don’t want to be boxed in. It challenges the traditional idea of a desk by giving users the freedom to work sitting, standing or even lying down. The brand speaks to creative, independent minds who value flexibility, individuality and conscious choices.

The challenge

NOT A DESK started as a passion project alongside Andreas’ full-time work. While the idea and product were strong, the brand was still growing organically and needed a clearer foundation to scale. Andreas wanted to invest in the brand seriously and prepare it for bigger ambitions: wider visibility, stronger storytelling and a more professional market presence. The challenge was to turn a part-time project into a brand that could confidently grow, attract the right audience and support future launches.

The solution

We translated the core idea of “not being locked into one way of working” into a strong brand concept and visual identity. From naming and messaging to logo, typography and visual language, everything was designed to feel flexible, modular and customizable, just like the product itself. The brand system was built as a tool, allowing users to personalize their NOT A DESK while keeping the identity consistent and recognizable.
